Magna Vitae provide advice and guidance to event organisers in East Lindsey to help them plan and deliver safe and well organised events. We also administer and chair the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) that covers the East Lindsey District Council area; East Lindsey Event Safety Advisory Group (ELESAG)
You can find more information about what a SAG is by clicking the button below.
The best way to receive advice and guidance about event safety from Magna Vitae and to ensure the statutory agencies are made aware of your event is to complete the Event Notification Form using the link below.
Magna Vitae will then review your event notification form and provide direct advice and guidance to you where relevant. Where appropriate they will also share the information with the statutory agencies, to inform them of when and where events are taking place which may impact upon their work. This will allow the agencies to manage (so far as is possible) any impact on their core work and be better prepared to manage unexpected situations.
Where an event meets the criteria, Magna Vitae will invite the organiser to a Safety Advisory Group meeting, so that the statutory agencies can also provide advice and guidance to support the organiser in holding a safe, and enjoyable, event. The meetings can be joined by Microsoft Teams, although some may be able to be attended ‘in person’. Event Organisers are invited to bring their critical contractors, such as Traffic Management provider, Stewarding/Security provider or Medical Provider to the meeting with them.
We should point out that submission of this form to Magna Vitae, and our sharing it with statutory agencies, doesn’t constitute any application to use land, nor any application for highways traffic management permissions or other licences that may be required for the event to take place legally or safely
