The Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme
The Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) Programme is a government-funded initiative designed to support children and young people during the school holidays. The programme provides free activities, healthy meals and enriching experiences for eligible families, helping children stay active, well-fed and socially connected outside of term time.
At Magna Vitae, HAF is about so much more than just keeping busy – it’s about building confidence, encouraging healthy habits and creating positive holiday memories in a safe, welcoming environment.
What we do during Magna Vitae HAF
Across our venues, our HAF programme offers a wide range of fun, inclusive activities for both children and teenagers, including:
-
Swimming sessions and water-based fun
-
Crafts, games and creative activities
-
Sports, movement and active play
-
Food education, healthy meals, snacks and refreshments
-
Opportunities to socialise, make friends and try new things
We also run a dedicated Teen HAF programme (ages 12–16), giving young people access to fitness facilities, swimming, social activities and healthy food – all designed to promote independence, wellbeing and confidence.
Activities vary by venue and day, ensuring every session feels fresh, exciting and engaging.
What’s next?
Our HAF programme has now finished for the year, but we’ll be back again in 2025, starting with Easter HAF.
Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates, booking information, and announcements closer to the time.
Magna Vitae HAF – more than just a holiday club. More than just a leisure centre.
HAF is funded by Department for Education, Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council.
All bookings for these sessions are to be made using the HAF booking system (using the voucher provided by your child’s school.) We look forward to welcoming you to our HAF sessions! More information including eligibility for HAF places can be found on Lincolnshire County Council’s website.
Food Hygiene Rating

We are proud to confirm that we are 5* for Food Hygiene at our venues in Skegness, Mablethorpe and Louth.
If you have any questions about the programme, please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions.
If you are unable to find the answer to your question, please get in contact.
Families eligible for HAF funding will be notified by their child’s school and receive an e-voucher code (via the school). These codes will be provided with a website link to the booking system. The booking system will show all HAF programmes within Lincolnshire so families can see availability and choose where to book!
Nearer the time, please look for the e-voucher email from your child’s school. (If you believe you should receive a voucher and have not, please contact your child’s school first.)
