HAF offers a safe and welcoming environment where children can have fun, learn new skills, and stay healthy during holiday periods.
Eligibility for the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is determined by Lincolnshire County Council. To find out if your child qualifies for a place, please visit the official Lincolnshire County Council website here.
If you need any assistance or have questions about eligibility, feel free to contact our team for support.
If your child has a medical condition, allergy, takes regular medication, or has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), please ensure you provide full details on the booking form and on the food order form (if food-related).
This information allows our team to:
-
Review your child’s needs ahead of the session
-
Make any necessary adjustments to support them
-
Inform relevant staff to ensure your child’s safety and comfort
Sharing this information in advance helps us create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable experience for your child.
Every HAF session delivered by Magna Vitae includes a variety of engaging and enriching activities designed to keep children active, creative and well-fed.
Each day typically includes:
-
A fun, active session (e.g. games, sports, or physical activities)
-
A healthy, free meal
-
Food education to encourage healthy habits
-
A creative craft or themed activity
Activities will vary by venue and session, so no two days are exactly the same—keeping it fun and fresh for returning children.
Please dress your child in comfortable, casual clothing suitable for active play, crafts and the weather. As activities may include arts, outdoor games and food preparation, we recommend clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
Your child should also bring a coat in case of outdoor activities and ideally wear trainers for safety and comfort during physical sessions.
Fresh drinking water is available at all HAF (Holiday and Food Activities) Programme venues throughout every session. Children are welcome to refill their water bottles at any time during the day.
We kindly ask that, where possible, children only bring water or milk with them to drink. This helps us support healthy habits and align with the nutritional goals of the HAF programme.
A healthy, balanced meal is provided at every HAF session as part of the programme. Menus will be shared in advance with all families who have a confirmed booking, so you’ll know exactly what’s being served before the session.
If your child has any allergies, dietary requirements, or food preferences, please make sure to include this information when completing both the booking form and the food order form. This helps us ensure every child is catered for safely and appropriately.
To book your child onto the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, simply use the link provided with your child’s E-voucher code. This will take you to the official online booking system, where you can view all available HAF venues, activity providers, dates and remaining spaces.
Make sure to have your E-voucher code ready, as you’ll need it to complete the booking process.
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is government-funded and is designed for children and young people aged 5 to 16 years.
Please note that age ranges may vary depending on the activity provider or venue. We recommend checking the HAF booking system, through Lincolnshire County Council, for specific age requirements at your chosen location.
At Magna Vitae, our HAF Teen Programme is tailored specifically for young people aged 14 to 16 years, offering engaging and age-appropriate activities in a supportive environment.
We understand that every child is different, and not everyone will enjoy every activity right away. Our team encourages children to have a go and try new things—even if they feel unsure or think they’re not good at it.
However, we never force participation. If a child prefers not to take part in a certain activity, we’ll offer them a chance to get involved in other ways—like helping with scoring, setting up equipment, or supporting their team.
Our priority is to make sure every child feels included, valued, and part of the group—no one is ever left out.
Absolutely! Your child’s safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. All holiday activities are supervised by our experienced, qualified and fully trained delivery team.
Each team member holds a valid DBS check, is trained in First Aid and is committed to creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for all children. You can feel confident knowing your child is in safe hands while they enjoy new experiences and make new friends.
We understand that joining a new activity can feel daunting, especially if your child doesn’t know anyone. That’s why we make it a priority to create a welcoming, inclusive environment from the very beginning.
Our sessions start with icebreaker games and group activities designed to help children feel comfortable, make new friends and build confidence. Our team is always on hand to ensure no child is ever left out and that everyone feels part of the group.
By the end of the day, many children leave with smiles—and new friendships too!
