‘FITS’ 2025 International Volunteering

Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) 2025 International Volunteering Programme (IVP)

We are excited to be offering a wonderful opportunity for up to 2 volunteers to take part in an incredible cultural exchange programme.

The Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) is a festival of performing arts held annually in the city of Sibiu located in the centre of Romania. Artists and Companies from around 70 countries participate every year and around 350 shows are carried out in 10 days. Known as one of the Three Great European Festivals, mobilizing as many as 65,000 audience members a day the programme includes a variety of cultural events such as drama, dance, contemporary circus, live music, screens and workshops. At the festival 400 Romanian and international volunteers participating from abroad become a team and support FITS in various sections. International volunteers come to the festival 10 days before to receive a volunteer induction and a hearty welcome before being the face and champion of an iconic cultural event.

Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture has been working with FITS for a number of years to support two individuals annually to take part and volunteer. We are once again looking to provide this opportunity for anybody interested in volunteering and learning from a international festival over a period of 10 days from the 12th June – 2nd July 2025. Travel costs for the volunteers will be provided by Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture and Accommodation will be provided by the festival organization. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in seeing how a international festival operates and would like to make a meaningful impact for both audiences and artists alike.
