Join us to lay the foundation for an active and healthy lifestyle for your child!
Structure
Our Rise Gymnastics Discover programme is divided into two aged groups.
These sessions are adaptable for adult-and-child participation or independent practice, ensuring activities are tailored to your child’s developmental stage.
Discovery 1
Pre-School 18mth-3yrs
A parent-led session filled with engaging interaction from our coaches. Gymnasts are assessed informally based on their comfort level during the session. There’s no pressure to meet specific criteria, though our coaches gently encourage participants to explore the learning objectives. Inclusive and relaxed environment.
Aligned with the British Gymnastics Discover programme, we offer adaptable activities tailored to suit your child’s unique needs.
Discovery 2
Pre-School 3-4yrs
A coach-led session designed to give your children the opportunity for independent learning. Our 3-4 years programme helps young gymnasts develop a deeper understanding of how our main programme operates.
Each week focuses on building fundamental skills, guided by the British Gymnastics Discover programme. This approach ensures your children gain a strong foundational knowledge of gymnastics across various key aspects.

Children work through a variety of themed activities and can earn awards by successfully completing 12 out of the 16 skills offered in each theme.

Children should wear appropriate sports clothing such as leotards, fitted shorts, sports leggings, or fitted tops. This ensures freedom of movement and prevents clothing from catching on equipment. Thermals or base layers can be worn underneath.
Please make sure your child’s hair is tied back and off their face. All jewellery and accessories must be removed and kept by a parent or guardian before the session starts. Shoes and socks will be removed once inside the Sports Hall.
