We offer a range of different holiday activities across our venues. Activities can include Family Fun Splash and Inflatable sessions. At Meridian Leisure Centre, we also offer a variety of dry-side activities such as Gymnastics Camps. You can find further information here.
This would depend on the holiday activity. For example, our Inflatable Sessions requires your child to be over the age of 8 and be able to swim 50m. All of our holiday activities have age requirement information included.
As part of the NPLQ course you would be required to carry out a swim test. You will be required to swim 2-lengths (50m) in under 60 seconds and swim 100ms on your front, followed by 100ms on your back, continuously. You will also need to tread water for 30 seconds, jump or dive into … Continued
Due to the nature of the course, this would depend on your disability/limitations. The Training Assessor is able to apply for a Reasonable Adjustment, which allow adaptations to the course assessment. You can read further information about this here. The Level 3 in First Aid at Work course is across 3-days. A Level 3 in Emergency First Aid at Work course is 1-day. The hours vary for these courses. If you require further information please get in contact info@mvtlc.org.
The NPLQ course is across 6 days (with the external assessment being on the 6th day). The course times are 9am-6pm each day (apart from the assessment day, which may shorter).
Your NPLQ will be valid for 2 years. Before it expires, you will need to sit another assessment. To do this, you will need to provide a minimum of 20 hours records of certified training within the 2 year period of being qualified.
