The SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification is designed for those ready to progress from assistant to independent swimming teacher.
Building on the Level 1 qualification, this course develops the skills and confidence needed to plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, inclusive swimming lessons independently.
This course is suitable for anyone who already holds the SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification and wants to take the next step in their swimming teaching career.

Learning is delivered through a blend of eLearning, tutor-led webinars and face-to-face sessions, including classroom workshops and practical poolside teaching. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience by delivering at least six 30-minute swimming lessons.

Developing Core Aquatic Skills and the four strokes

Identifying and correcting common swimming faults

Differences between national curriculum and learn to swim lessons
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and includes written tasks, lesson planning, practical teaching delivery and self-evaluation.
