This entry-level qualification is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in swimming teaching.
The SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to support a qualified swimming teacher and help deliver high-quality, inclusive swimming lessons.
No previous teaching experience is required. You must be aged 16 or over by the course start date.

The course combines classroom learning with practical poolside sessions and assessments. You’ll gain hands-on experience by assisting in at least two 30-minute swimming lessons.
