Inclusive and accessible services

We are committed to making access to health and wellbeing activities inclusive and accessible for all. We are continually seeking new technologies to improve inclusivity across our venues.

Below, you can see what we are doing within our venues to ensure we are uphold the highest standards of inclusivity.

Accessible Car Parking and Entrances

Some of our car parking spaces are dedicated to Blue Badge Holders. The spaces are easily recognisable, with the international wheelchair symbol on the ground and yellow hash lines around the bay.

There are automatic entrance doors or push door release buttons when entering our buildings.

All our entrances are accessible with wide doorways to cater to wheelchair users.  Our front-of-house desks are lowered to enable wheelchair users to access the reception desks.

At Meridian Leisure Centre and Station Leisure & Learning Centre, there are accessible entrance gates to certain areas of the facilities. The front-of-house team operate the turnstile gate.

Accessible Toilets and Changing Rooms

Accessible toilets are available around our buildings, along with numerous accessible changing areas. The changing area is equipped with a ceiling track hoist, a height-adjustable bed, and a poolside wheelchair.

Please note that at Meridian Leisure Centre & Skegness Pool & Fitness Suite, the accessible toilets and changing rooms require a Radar key, which can be obtained by front-of-house team on your visit.

All our accessible toilets and changing rooms have emergency pull cables. These are red and hang next to the toilets and changing facilities, along with grip rails.

Within the changing areas, there are tip seats and lockers with accessibility designed to support users with limited abilities.

At Station Leisure & Learning Centre, we are proud to offer “Changing Places” facilities, speak to the team for more information and how to access this.
