Two participants from last week’s Level 1 Swimming Assistant Course have stood out for their dedication to self-development and community impact.
With support from Magna Vitae, each is following a different career path—but both are making great progress toward their goals.
Danny (Aspire to Be Participant)
For the first Danny, the journey began with a simple step: enrolling on a Gym Instructor Course through the Aspire To Be Programme. That course sparked an interest in fitness and leisure, which quickly led to lifeguarding and now swimming instruction.
“It is going really well, Tracey [Aspire to Be Lead] has put me through a lot of my courses. It started off being the Gym Instructor course, then Lifeguarding and now the Swim Teaching!”
Danny’s skills and motivation soon paid off—he secured a full-time role at Station Leisure & Learning Centre in Mablethorpe and now has ambitions to move onto the Level 2 Swimming Teacher Course, assisting with our WaterWise programme in the meantime.

Danny (Apprentice)
Our second Danny is a current apprentice at Station Leisure & Learning Centre and he’s just as driven! Last week’s Level 1 course was another step forward on his pathway, with the Level 2 Swimming Course and a Gym Instructor course lined up in the near future.
“The Apprenticeship is going really well thank you. I am doing my Level 1 Swim Assistant now and ideally the Level 2 afterwards!”

“The instructor is great, really good environment, really good people, everyone is really nice.”
His attitude is inspiring and very humble!
“I am just thankful for the opportunity I have been given and can’t wait to experience more with Magna Vitae!”

Both Danny’s are testaments to how the right support and the right opportunity can unlock new directions in life. Whether through the Aspire To Be Programme or a structured apprenticeship, they are both examples of how investing in people pays back —in skills, in service and in the community!
At Magna Vitae, we’re proud to play a part in helping them live great lives—and build bright futures.
