A Glimpse into Leisure & Culture

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming some fantastic young people to Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture as part of their work experience — and what a brilliant time it’s been!

From Leisure Attendants, Human Resources (HR) to Marketing, they’ve dived into a range of roles, gaining a real taste of what it’s like to work within the leisure industry. Whether helping out on the ground or getting creative behind the scenes, each day offered something new and valuable.

As a local trust, we believe it’s so important to provide these kinds of opportunities. Not only do they offer potential career inspiration, but they also open the door to experiences in industries that young people may not have considered before. After all — you never know until you try!

During the week they spent a day with the Marketing team! They sent them on a photography mission around our venue in Louth, encouraging them to think about angles, lighting, and some of the great features of at Meridian Leisure Centre. They then put their design skills to the test using Canva and even crafted creative captions for social media. We were genuinely impressed with the pictures they returned with — full of energy, thought and originality. What do you think?

To all of our work experience stars — thank you for your enthusiasm and curiosity. We’ve loved having you with us and hope you’ve enjoyed it just as much as we have!
