We are happy to announce that Meridian Leisure Centre will be hosting the County Championships gala on:
Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February!
Please note, this does unfortunately mean our pools will be closed over this weekend to the public and members. Continue reading to find out how this will effect your visit.
This is no ordinary event…
It’s a Level 2 swimming meet, which means swimmers from across our county will gather to compete. These swimmers would have had to achieve a specific time to race in this competition. They will be racing to achieve county records, regional qualifying times and national qualifying times, helping them on their journey to reach higher levels in the sport.
Hosting such an important event is a tremendous opportunity for both our leisure venue and the swimming community. We’re proud to offer our top-notch facilities here in Louth, allowing athletes to chase their dreams and progress to the next stage in their swimming careers.

Homegrown talent!
Whether you’re a local swimming fan or new to the sport, this event is a chance to witness some of the UK’s finest up-and-coming talent in action, all within our very own venue. What better way to inspire future generations of swimmers than by showcasing the heights they can reach right here in our community?
We’re incredibly excited to be part of this journey, and we can’t wait to see these athletes give it their all in the pool!

Learn more about Dolphins Swimming Clubs, a thriving swim community that nurtures and develops swimmers of all ages and abilities.

What you need to know…
Both our swimming pools will be CLOSED on these dates. But don’t worry—your membership includes FREE, UNLIMITED swimming at our other fantastic venues in Mablethorpe, Horncastle & Skegness!
Why not take advantage of it?
Unfortunately, there will be no WaterWise swimming lessons on these dates to allow for the gala to go ahead. We understand this may be frustrating, but we hope you’ll join us in supporting the opportunity for competitive swimmers to pursue their aspirations!
Please note, terms and conditions state: Our Direct Debit payments per month have been set on the basis that we guarantee 46 weeks of swimming lessons out of 52 throughout the year, potentially allowing for six lessons not to take place. Unfortunately, pool closures are sometimes unavoidable which has been reflected in the pricing structure. Should we find ourselves cancelling more than the six allocated lessons throughout the 12-month period, then a reimbursement will be given.
The car park will be much busier than usual, so if you’re coming to cheer on the competitors, consider walking, using public transport, or parking elsewhere.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
All other activities within the venue will be going ahead as normal. This includes Gymnastics lessons, the gym, classes and also external clubs and groups.
Please note, that the parking will be much busier over this weekend so allow yourself more time to get parked or please find alternative parking or travel by public transport if possible.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
We’re here to ensure everyone enjoys their swimming experiences, no matter what venue you visit.
