Bags of Happiness Delivery

/ Health & Fitness

Last week Marko and Tracey, from the community team, spent some time delivering bags of happiness to the attendees of our Fitness, Food and Friends sessions and our CHAPS programme.

Within the bags there was; chocolate, a crossword book, cake, information on Sporting Pink from Sporting Memories Foundation and a bag of happiness survival kit.

Here is some of the feedback we have had so far!

“Thanks for the visit and goodie bag. It was thoughtful and appreciated you keeping in contact with us.
Just wish could get back to some normality really miss exercise classes and nutritional. Would have been great to continue and find other similar things.”  Sutton on Sea attendee

“It was so nice to see you this morning, quite a surprise!  Many thanks to you and your group for the super gift bag, it was a very kind and generous gesture and I really appreciate the thought. I haven’t done crosswords for a long time, I used to enjoy them, so your book will get me going again! Help keep my brain working; and all the little gifts were great and so cleverly chosen. Especially the chocolate! Thank you also for your calls, and for caring.” Mablethorpe attendee

“Just a brief email to thank you for braving the horrible weather yesterday to bring our Survival Kit bags, which we all appreciated and smiled at the contents.  Please thank your team also.”  Binbrook attendee

“Hello Marko, thank you for the goodie bag, the chocolate and chocolate cake disappeared in short shift. the little bag of happiness made us smile, the crossword book has been put away to give to someone else maybe a raffle prize when we can get together again. I have the pen and Barry has taken the pencil to sketch out another painting, he is going back to his favourite subject horses. He says when things get back to normal you will have to visit properly and see close up what artwork he has done in the past.” Binbrook attendee

“Hello Marko,

Sorry that I missed you when you called yesterday. Thank you for the “goodie bag”.  I especially liked the “Bag of Happiness”.  Very well thought out and humorous.  It certainly made me smile. I will enjoy the chocolate and the cupcakes as well, although my husband thinks that I shouldn’t eat them as they will ruin my diet.  But as Slimming World meetings are on shut down, so is my diet on hold!! Looking forward to being able to meet up again in Binbrook village hall, when we can all chat about our experiences of the last few months.  But please amend the programme and include extra exercise.”  Binbrook attendee

“Such a lovely and thoughtful thing to do, it was lovely to see you Tracey as I’m sure were everyone else you visited, I still call it my bag of thoughtfulness, we all miss our little groups but fingers crossed we can get back together sometime soon xx”  Volunteer Skegness Still Me

“Please can you tell me if anyone brought a parcel of treats for my husband yesterday. I was having a nap and he doesn’t know who brought it. I would just like to thank whoever it was as we are very grateful. It was really kind of you to do that and very much appreciated. We’re ok, not going out except for shopping and short walks. I always have plenty to do but D is very lonely as he likes to be with people. Let’s hope it will soon be over” Carer of Skegness participant
