Let’s Start the Conversation…What is Time to Talk Day?
Time to Talk Day is all about opening up conversations around mental health. Taking the time to talk and listen can make a real difference, helping to break the stigma and create supportive communities where everyone feels heard. This day is a reminder that no one should struggle alone – a simple chat can go a long way in supporting mental wellbeing.
It is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, in partnership with Co-op and delivered by See Me with SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), Inspire and Time to Change Wales.
Why is it Important?
Talking about mental health helps normalise conversations and encourages people to reach out for support when needed. Whether it’s with a friend, colleague, or family member, checking in and sharing feelings can improve wellbeing and strengthen relationships. Mental health matters every day, but Time to Talk Day is a great opportunity to start a conversation and keep it going.
