Swimming and meeting for coffee are just two of the activities enjoyed by members of a Louth group. The group is designed to support individuals who are living with a range of learning disabilities and mental health.
Entertaining Activities Lincs Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation, currently has 19 members, who use Meridian Leisure Centre as a meeting place for coffee and cake after activities.
“It is a great place to come with lots of space and good food,” said director Helen Landshoft.
Helen set up the company five years ago. Operating from Louth Town Hall, it offers opportunities for anyone over 17 years of age. From bowling, to drop-in sessions and activity holidays in other parts of the UK.
“I decided to start Entertaining Activities because there seemed to be a real lack of things for people to do, and they all certainly enjoy what we offer,” said Helen.
Members attended from across East Lindsey – with the organisation open between 9am and 4pm on weekdays.
“It’s great, we meet friends and really enjoy it,” said member Linda Drayton.
