This qualification allows learners to support Level 2 Swimming Teachers with the delivering of swimming lessons. The will learn how to support anxious swimmers, communicate with swimmers and Level 2 Swimming Teachers effectively, understand the components of the 4 swimming strokes and lesson plan structure. Please note learners with this qualification cannot deliver swimming lessons on their own.

The assessment for this qualification is completed during the course hours and will be both practical and theory based. To achieve this qualification all learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be deemed competent, and all the evidence produced by the learner must be their own work and in English.

This qualification has no formal entry requirements and learners are not required to have any prior teaching experience. Learners must be comfortable enough in the water to be able to support anxious swimmers and to be able to demonstrate aquatic skills.

Learners must 16yrs of age when registering for the course.

  2. Email it to hollie.field@mvtlc.org or post to Meridian Leisure Centre, Wood Lane, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 8SA
  3. Call 01507 681808 and make payment over the phone.

Your place can only be confirmed upon payment for the course. It is the learners’ responsibility to ensure they have met the entry requirements above before payment is taken.
