Steph White is a busy working mum who decided it was time for a change when she hit 30 last May.

“I just thought, now is the time to do something and I wanted to lose weight,” explained Steph.

Having experience of Meridian Leisure Centre in the past, she took the plunge and joined up. With help from the trained Lifestyle Consultants here at Meridian, coupled with sensible eating and a change in her diet, Steph started to lose the weight – and has shed a fantastic three stone in just over eight months.

“I feel so much better, not only physically, but my mental wellbeing has improved so much too,” she said.

As a mum who works, like most of us, Steph does feel the stresses and strains of her busy lifestyle – and finds taking the time to exercise really helps to relieve any symptoms of stress she may have during the day. The new exercise regime is also aiding her physical strength, which is important in her family and working life.

“I still have more weight to lose and I am determined to keep going. The help and support you get here is very good,” she added.
