England’s best bowlers gathered from around the country to battle it out to be crowned Skegness EBF (English Bowling Federation) champions earlier this month.

The competition, hosted by Magna Vitae, was held at Skegness North Greens on North Parade from Sunday 3rd – Friday 8th September.

Participants from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire joined local competitors in the areas final outdoor bowls competition of the year.

Following almost 20 years of combined service, Margaret and Richard King have decided to retire from their roles in charge of the three Magna Vitae bowls tournaments.

Event organiser, David Willoughby said “We would like to thank Margaret and Richard for everything that they have done to support the Skegness Bowls Tournaments. We wish them all the best for an enjoyable retirement.

As ever, competition was of a very high standard and we would like to thank the players for coming to Skegness to compete in this important event.

We would also like to thank Skegness East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association (SECHWA) for sponsoring the tournament.”
