Magna Vitae Customer Update – COVID19

At the end of March, Government enforced the temporary closure of all our leisure venues for the safety of our staff, members, patrons and customers due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Recently we have started to prepare plans for a phased re-start. We have been talking to our staff and customers as well as engaging with government agencies and leading sector bodies to help ensure that we do this responsibly, when the time is right, as lockdown restrictions are eased. We hope the government will soon be able to provide clarity on lockdown exit arrangements.

We have set ourselves some key criteria for safe reopening, which we anticipate will need to be phased in over the coming weeks….perhaps months, as government and public confidence allows. Firstly, we will prioritise the wellbeing of our staff and create the right environment for them to begin to safely return to work; secondly ensuring that we follow the latest government guidelines along with requirements of our partners, East Lindsey District Council, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our customers.
We have developed a number of operational plans and are testing their feasibility. Similar to the current large supermarket shopping arrangements, we are exploring what services and activities we can provide, considering the layout of our venues and the safe flow of people around them. We anticipate needing to maintain two metre social distancing measures for all staff and customers, alongside personal protective equipment (PPE) options. Our venue opening times will be restricted initially to support these measures until customer confidence and demand returns.

We know this is a very difficult and challenging time for everyone…we are missing you all.  However, for now, our venues remain closed and we will only restart when we are satisfied, we have the right measures in place to ensure everyone’s safe enjoyment and wellbeing.

In the meantime please do continue to make use of our alternative digital services through TV.FIT, our social media channels and the website Magna Vitae is a not-for-profit charitable trust that relies heavily on customer and partner support to enable everyone to look great, feel great and live a great life.
