COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MAGNA VITAE TEAM R.E. MABLETHORPE ILLUMINATIONS 2020
In every action we take and with every decision we make, the safety of our audiences, performers, staff members and the wider community is of the upmost importance to us.
In light of the recent government announcements regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and after discussion with East Lindsey District Council (ELDC), we have collectively arrived at the view that we must cancel Mablethorpe Illuminations 2020.
We understand that this may be disappointing news for members of the local community and those that attend the event each year, however, given the government’s current guidelines concerning social distancing, large gatherings and events, which are likely to still apply in the months ahead, we must continue to prioritise the safety of all involved and sacrifice the event at this time.
