Our very own Adam has been pounding the streets hard over the last weeks and months as he prepared for his biggest race so far. A runner all his life, he was a fan of the shorter distances, before training for the York Marathon last year. That tempted him to go for London.
“It’s such an iconic event and that is why I really wanted to give it a go. My target now is to come in under my last marathon time and get a sub two hours and 40 minutes,” said Adam.
Adam completed the marathon in 2 hours 47 minutes, unfortunately he didn’t beat his last marathon, however it is still an amazing time!
Now that the marathon is over, Adam is back with the Meridian team and getting ready to help other runners prepare properly for Louth’s 5k Run for Life, which takes place this year on Sunday June 30th.
Magna Vitae’s ‘Couch to 5k’ weekly sessions start at London Road Pavilion on Wednesday, May 8th at 6pm and are free for MV members, with non-members paying £15 for all eight sessions, or £2.50 separately. Read more here!
