We have a Swim England approved training centre
We are proud to announce that Meridian Leisure Centre is now an approved training centre for Swim England. This means that we will be able to train our own staff in the latest and best teaching methods and also new swimming teachers. This is an exciting achievement and will help us to further promote our belief that swimming is an essential life skill.
Bug Season
Just a polite reminder, as the bug season is upon us, please be aware if your child has suffered from a sickness bug, they should not come swimming until 48 hours after their last bout of sickness.
New Data Protection rules
The new Data Protection Regulations coming later this year mean that we need accurate and updated records for all of our swimmers. Please let reception know that your details are up to date the next time you bring your child to their lesson.
Waterwise Gift Bags
Throughout December we put together some swim bags for you to purchase for the amazing price of £18.00.
We have decided to continue to sell these throughout the year. Each swim bag comes with: – A Magna Vitae swim hat – Water bottle – Goggles – Swim float – Locker token

Swimming Lesson Price Changes
Our swim lesson prices have gone up in line with inflation from the 1st January 2018. We hope you received our letter in December.

Determination is the key
Aimee Hewson joined our Waterwise swimming lessons earlier this year. Her determination and passion has seen her excel through from stage one to stage seven in a short time.
Progression through the Waterwise swimming lessons has seen Aimee join Fin2Fit, which she thoroughly enjoys.
February Swimming Crash Courses
Following on from Aimee’s amazing progress we will be holding five day crash courses throughout half terms at Meridian Leisure Centre, Louth and Embassy Pool, Skegness and starting at Horncastle Pool in February.
The crash courses begin from stage one to stage six, for children aged four upwards.
Alongside these crash courses, we also hold skill improvement workshops, to improve your swimming stokes.

Our very own Blue Peter famous swimmer
One of our Waterwise swimmers has being doing brilliantly in his lessons with Lian, his love for swimming has given him the boost in confidence he needed to find other activities that he enjoys too.
Not only is everyone at Magna Vitae immensly proud of Jack but the team at Blue Peter are too, he not only received a reply from them but a Blue Peter badge too!
Well done Jack!
Fin2Fit at Meridian Leisure Centre
Do you want to become a mermaid or a merman? We at Meridian Leisure Centre offer Fin2Fit swimming lessons.
These are every Saturday 3pm-3.45pm. Swimmers need to be in Stage 5 swimming lessons, and have the ability to swim 50metres.
