Generations train together

/ Health & Fitness

When Danielle Murray comes along to Skegness swimming pool page she is delighted to bring her nan, Patricia with her.

Danielle, 32, is a busy mum who works, and loves visiting the venue’s gym with its top-of-the-range equipment and friendly and helpful team. She is also a big fan of the classes that are run both in the fitness suite and just across the road at the Embassy.

“The combination of coming to the classes and to the gym is great. There is only one thing that would make it better – and that is, if there were even more classes,” said Danielle.

“I have a busy life and like everyone, there are the usual stresses that come with that. Coming here really helps my mental wellbeing. I go to work and people comment on the fact that I am in a good mood, and I am certain it is because I spend time here. It is very important that you look after yourself,” she added.

Danielle is so impressed with the venue that she invited her ‘nan’ to come along too.

Patricia Murray, 72, suffers from osteoarthritis and she has noticed a big difference in her mobility since she joined Danielle.

“The team here gives you a programme that is just for you and coming here has really helped with the pain, especially in one of my legs. I do feel much better,” said Patricia.
