The best in the world: that is what you will have in Louth as part of our great new £300,000 fitness suite.

Your Magna Vitae Leisure Centre gym in Louth is undergoing a complete overhaul – in fact if you are nearby, why not pop in and see the new plans, which are on show in the entrance from 6th April.

In association with East Lindsay District Council, this impressive redevelopment will start in May this year, and will see state-of-the-art ‘Life Fitness’ equipment installed in a redesigned two-floor space, with new track and field elements.

So, let’s tell you more about what the changes are:

· The latest treadmills, cross trainers and upright bikes with vivid high-definition screens for use of TV’s, streaming video and internet compatibility.
· Multi Jungle signature series – a multi-faceted piece of equipment that can be customised with add ons, configurations and setups.
· Power mill climbers with 25 different speeds for those who prefer a slow climb or those looking for an intense workout.
· Functional Area – which includes a new track and field element, with the use of a tank/sleigh, slam balls and core units.
· New resistance weights and a free weights area with Jordan weights and a designated Squat rack area.
· New lighting, flooring, decoration and a partition wall is all part of the changes.

Whilst we will try our hardest to keep this to a minimum there maybe a slight closure when it comes to swapping the equipment, however this is yet to be confirmed.

Throughout the transformation in the fitness suite, the swimming pool and classes with still be running, with some minor changes. Louth members, will be able to use our other facilities in Horncastle, Skegness and Mablethorpe, free – although just bear in mind, you will have to book ahead.

Horncastle is the nearest venue, and – following its £130,000 revamp a short time ago.

Our Executive Director Aeneas Richardson is delighted by this latest improvement:

“The world of fitness and health is ever-changing and as it does so, we are delighted to be moving forward with some of the latest equipment and techniques that you will find anywhere in the world,” said Aeneas Richardson.

“While we appreciate and apologise for the slight disruption for our members, we know that the results will be well worth it. During the work, members can use the Trust’s other facilities, free of charge.” he added.
