We aim to help you run your event to make it as successful as possible by providing guidance and advice.
If you are planning an event in the East Lindsey district, we ask the event organiser to complete an Event Notification Form and return it to our Events Team by email at events@mvtlc.org
By submitting this form, Magna Vitae can provide advice and guidance to the organiser to help ensure they hold a safe event. Magna Vitae will also share the information with the statutory agencies, to inform them of when and where events are taking place which may impact upon their work, and this will allow the agencies to manage (so far as is possible) any impact, and be better prepared to manage unexpected situations.
Where an event meets the criteria, Magna Vitae will invite the organiser to a meeting (usually an online one) with the multi agency Safety Advisory Group, so that the statutory agencies can also provide advice and guidance to support an organiser in holding a safe, and enjoyable, event.
We should point out that submission of this form to Magna Vitae, and their sharing it with statutory agencies, doesn’t constitute any application to use land, nor any application for highways traffic management permissions or any other licences that may be required for the event to take place legally or safely.
Additional Advice
If you need any additional advice please get in touch with us at events@mvtlc.org and we will be happy to provide extra guidance and support.
Event Safety guidance and event document templates can also be found by visiting the Lincolnshire Event Safety Partnership
However, you should always remember that, as event organisers, the responsibility of making sure you comply with all legal requirements does rest with you.
