Customer Update – COVID 19

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all our leisure venues were temporarily closed for the safety of our staff and customers way back in March this year! Further to government guidance issued, Magna Vitae (Charitable Trust for Leisure & Culture) has been working up potential re-opening plans and has acknowledged the likelihood that our venues and services may well be limited and restricted in the early stages of permitted use, sometime after early July.

Whilst planning our re-opening, we have asked for feedback and opinion from custom, members and staff. We have also been working closely with the local Council and national governing bodies in order to help ensure that we act responsibly and reasonably. We have deliberately continued to take our time over this as we want to get our return to service, whenever this may be, absolutely right from the very beginning.

We want to reassure you that plans are being designed to give you all confidence in the measures we are introducing in order to keep everybody safe. Therefore, when it comes to us returning to work and you stepping in to use our facilities, people will be confident they are making the right decision, based on their own personal circumstances.

The government issued its latest COVID 19 lockdown review on Thursday 27th May. Leisure facilities of the type Magna Vitae operates will not be permitted to open again until early July at the very earliest. Upon reopening, in order to comply with government safety requirements, leisure facilities will not be able to simply open and be available for use as they were prior to the lockdown. Due to the need to socially distance, it is very likely that the service offered initially will look very different to that left behind in March.

Unfortunately, it will still be quite some time before we can welcome you all back to our venues and we can all finally come back to living a great life once again! We remain committed to providing our customers and members with regular operational updates as the situation changes and we have more news for you. We aim to provide you with as much information as possible relating to the services we will have available, when they may become available again and how they can be used. Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as will your cooperation in abiding by some of the new house rules likely to be put in place when you can come back to us.
