Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards took place virtually, making this years event extra special, and an opportunity once more for us to join together in person. The event will give thanks, celebrate, and recognise people from across the county who have been committed, creative and determined to keep the people of Lincolnshire active.

The Lincolnshire ‘Sports’ Personality of the Year award will be presented by headline sponsor Lincoln Waterparks and decided by the shortlisting panel of judges.

Emma Tatlow, CEO of Active Lincolnshire said:

“ The quality of nominations for this year’s awards has been outstanding. As always, the people of Lincolnshire have really done us proud, with so many inspiring stories of how physical activity has helped people overcome barriers, improved their mental health and wellbeing and the outstanding contribution made by volunteers is truly something to

celebrate.

Congratulations to the shortlisted nominees, the judging panel faced some exceptionally tough decisions as all nominees are worthy of winning!

We hope to see many of you at the awards to share in these successes and to hear the s

tories yourself from our finalists and winners.”

“I would also like to say thank you to the fantastic local businesses who have shown their commitment to keeping Lincolnshire moving by sponsoring this year’s event, they have

enabled us to join together once more.”

Suzi Nightingale, Managing Director, Lincoln Waterpark said:

“For us, it is important to support local incentives that encourage people to be active.  It’s not necessarily about the best athletic ability, but for us is about enjoying what you do and striving to be your best. These awards celebrate commitment and achievement but also include community involvement and the passion of all the supporting teams involved. It’s a pleasure to be involved with supporting the incredible athletes, support teams and clubs in

Lincolnshire.”
